Here you are bidding on a Western Electric 283-A Vacuum Tube with globe-shaped glass envelope and and early, engraved, moulded base. It has Serial Number: 371 25. The Western Electric 283-A is a variable-mu tetrode amplifier with indi...rectly heated cathode. Variant of the WE 259-A. The tube was tested on a Signal Corps I-177B tube tester. Test results as follows: Tube 1. Test results were 2200 with a minimum of 1500.The tube is in nice physical condition as you can see in the photographs!There is no particulate matter in the envelope and the leads are still a crisp red color!!Shipping weight will be about 2 pounds.I will pack all items properly and with great care.
