This is a reproduction reflector tab or bracket that looks like the one that was factory installed on Schwinn Stingray's, Krate's and other banana seat Schwinn bikes from the 60's and early 70's on the Permaco seats.
Don't settle for those ugly wire brackets... that attach to the seat and sissy bar bolts. Make it look correct and display that expensive 3 inch reflector with pride.
Perfect for that original vintage, restored or repro banana seat with a missing tab. I measured a real bracket from an un-restored original Fastback and Krate seat and used those specs to hand craft these tabs.
Super easy to install. Just 2 dabs of JB Weld "clear weld" under each foot of the bracket and a few hours later you are good to go. It will need to be bent slightly forward toward the front of the seat to get the reflector hanging straight. I would recommend doing this adjustment before attaching to the seat. I have added a photo(last one) of an original bracket to show the typical bend profile.
I will also throw in a couple of "saddle for one rider only" vinyl stickers to place over the new bracket foot at the rear and also the seat pan tab at the front of the seat. This will give it an authentic look. These stickers were applied to the seat pan when the seats were made to keep kids from cutting their fingers on the sharp metal corners.
Your bike and seat will look awesome. Any questions let me know....
