Please email any questions, and HAPPY BIDDING!For your consideration, this TRUE antique/vintage 1930s/40s handmade applique quilt in an old traditional pattern called Triple Tulips -- highly VISUAL, in SWEET colors of lavender, cream, yellow and green -- narrowly banded in pale lavender, with nice straight edges all the way around -- ALL early period 100% solid cotton fabrics -- VERY lightly batted with 100% hand-combed cotton -- the backing is the same creamy white cotton used on the front -- the quilt measures 58" x 86", probably fitting best on a twin-size bed -- totally hand-pieced, hand-quilted and hand-appliqued in nice blind-stitching -- quilted in generous rows and TINY grids at 7-8 teeny stitches per inch -- this seamstress was really showing off her skills -- this pattern takes lots of care to match this many points, and lays nice and flat -- buying this quilt AS IS! -- in GOOD antique condition -- does show light wear/gentle usage -- still strong and sturdy enough for use -- colors still pretty CRISP -- everything intact, except some embroidery cross-stitching at the top of each basket which was added for embellishment, and some small splits/shatters in the wide lavender borders -- mostly CLEAN, with some yellowing in the fold line areas (which is obvious in the pics) and a few other small age spots/stains -- we believe much of this would lift with a gentle soak, and some TLC/spot treatment.....which will be left up to the new owner -- absolutely no other issues to report -- these old beauties are getting harder and harder to find -- this quilt would be PERFECT for country farmhouse or Victorian decors, laid across your bed, stacked in your quilt cabinet, or CELEBRATED by displaying on the wall as a great piece of true TEXTILE ART! -- a great old piece of textile history, a true collector's piece....and the price is right!
