There's no felt light trap(AKA dust/grit trap) to add resistance, just effortless '...air'. Like I said....once you use these its impossible to happy with standard cassettes.
This is an auction for ONE FILCA brass cassette, I have more and all are in good working order with nice clips and smooth finish. If you look at the pics I've added a few extras at the end....the Watson 66b(as well as others) are made to be used with the FILCA cassettes.
Just open the film gate on the cassette and cut the film to make a blunt point, no need for gummy tape to screw things up, Leitz made a handy arrow showing you where to slot the film in....inside the slot are very grippy little teeth that'll hold the film. Cover the opening back up and load the film as per normal, at the end turn the grey knob clock-wise till you feel it close and that's it. Not adding a tab of tape for every roll is good for the environment too as it can't be recycled.
These cassettes are made to last, the ONLY way you can screw them up is to bend the arm back too far so when actuating the arm to unlock it and allow the film gate to slide open. I press the arm a little in the middle to prevent it from being bent too far and its worked without any issues :-).
I do combine shipping.
