This is for an impressive Victorian enamel tin table vesta case made by Bryant & May. It shows a pair of peacocks on the lid and the Royal Warrant on the base. It is clearly marked 'Bryant & May, London, Royal Wax Vesta's, registered Dec 20, 1870, made in England' and the back has the original rough strip for striking the matches. The inside is divided into two and the lid is hinged. It has its original black and gold finish with an aesthetic design around the lid and it is in ...very good condition with no damage and surface wear only, mostly on the base. It measures 85mm (3.3") x 158mm (6") and stands 22mm (0.75") deep.
