This is an exact compatible replacement for all of your vintage Acoustic Research speakers.
No modifications needed, and these are the same type of control that your speakers originally came with, So that means your sound and crossover points will not change from the original design.
While others are using L pads, L pads differ from the original design. These Pots do not differ from the original design.
I successfully use these in many of my AR speaker restorations with spec...tacular results.
These have metal lugs which accept ring terminals, or take to soldering very well, which I prefer, just like the originals were installed.
