Something for everyone!Here you are bidding on a Western Electric 247-A Vacuum Tube with a wire mesh plate and an early, engraved, moulded base. It has Serial Number: 33520. The WE 247-A was specially designed to eliminate sputtering sounds and microphonic i...mpulses. It was used exclusively in the 61A amplifier and in many receivers and audio panels. The tube has a good filament and was tested on an Amplitrex AT-1000 tube tester.The results indicated the emission at 105% of specification while the transconductance was 160% of specification.The tube is in nice physical condition as you can see in the photographs!There is no particulate matter in the envelope and the leads are still a crisp red color!!
