Vintage 1981 UNC Tar Heels (issued to player #42)' Game Issue Riddell Football Helmet. They went to the Gator Bowl vs Arkansas this year. Led by Dick Crum, Lawrence Taylor, Kelvin Bryant. Condition is Used but not sure in a game. The #42 has NOPO written next to it which i assume is" No Position." Helmet was stored in a non protective environment, and you can see per photos, there is slight sticker peel and paint cracking. (These helmets back then were painted to match uniform color) A...lthough not prefect, still makes for a great display, as this once was too. There is no chin strap and looks to never had one as the snaps still have paint on them. This unique item is a treasure to any UNC fan.
