Two beautiful antique wooden hand mirrors.
One is intricately carved above and below the mirror, the back and the handle. The geometric carving reminds me of tramp art or folk art, but I really don't know the origin. No maker's mark. Mirror has a few dark age spots around the perimeter but is otherwise very clear. 11 inches long, 5 inches wid...e. Not sure of the type of wood, but it is not heavy. No chips or breaks in the carving. The wood is not shiny/polished. I'm guessing it's handmade.
The second mirror is plain. The mirror is beveled. There are some dark age spots around the perimeter, some yellow streaks and some spotting in the center. The wood is smooth and a little shiny. Just guessing, I would say this one is older than the carved one.
The box is not heavy, but it will have to be large-ish so I can wrap/pad the mirrors against breakage. I only charge for exact shipping. If the eBay estimate you pay is more than $1 less than the actual cost, I will refund the difference.
