Rare and original, 1920's Cast Iron Toy “Take-Apart” Wrecker / Tow Truck Toy manufactured by the Kilgore Manufacturing Co. This very early, cast iron Toy Truck measures 4” long overall and 1 3/4" tall and 1 5/8" wide. The Truck retains approx. 90%+ of its original metallic bronze paint. It features a separately cast, nickel plated grill and head lights. A double wire, spring clip on the underside of the Vehicle holds in place the axles and the grill. The Truck retains all four of... its original white runner tires which are lightly soiled but well preserved.
This wonderful, Kilgore “Take-Apart” Wrecker / Tow Truck is in very good condition. It is 100% original and the surface paint has never been repainted, touched-up, restored or altered in any way. The Truck retains approx. 90%+ of its original paint with no surface oxidation. There are no crack, breaks, chips, repairs or physical damage of any kind to the cast iron. The original metal clips are present and the Toy retains its original, white rubber tires and nickel plated hubs as can be seen in the scans below.
