This sale is for a vintage Manaslu M-500 straight razor made in Tokyo, Japan by the beloved Nichiri Co. The polished tang is stamped with the coveted YSS2H mark which means this blade is made from the famous Yasuki White Steel No2 — the BEST of the BEST among the Japanese straight razor steels.
The blade is a lovely 6/8" quarter-hollow with muted spike point and wide jimping on that sweet little thumb-notch. (I absolutely adore these thumb notches!)
The scales are the typical p...lastic that you find on all these old Japanese straight razors. This particular model sports a beautiful glossy white pearl / pearlescence with black spacer.
The high-carbon blade has a few very tiny specks of discoloration, but those should easily polish out with any good quality chrome or silver hand polish.
Razor is freshly honed and shave-ready. (Shaving mug and brush are NOT included in this sale.)
