Vintage 25” Onyx And Gold Bead Necklace With Carnelian Flowers.
I purchased this striking necklace at the Christmas Market in Nuremberg in 2004 (the Christkindlsmarkt is one of Europe’s oldest holiday markets). It is handmade, and was sold as a vintage piece although I do not know the age. Each bead is heavier than typical mass-market onyx beads, but it is comfortable to wear. The red flowers with their loden green leaves make a striking addition to the onyx and gold - a resl s...tatement piece! After 40 years of perfectly accessorized business suits, I have finally retired, so it’s time to clear out the jewelry box! With three sons, six grandsons and two daughters-in law (a cop and an anesthesiologist) who don’t wear jewelry, I am offering my collection here in hopes that each piece will bring joy to someone new.
