Up for sale here is this matched pair of rare vintage new-in-box Sylvania 5U4GB rectifier tubes.  These are Made in USA with matching "AM" date codes on the bases, which I cannot translate, but one also has a 1954 date code on the glass.  These are very early, very rare tubes.  Each has a top rectangular mica plate, ribbed shiny black plates, dual side wide D getters with foil strips, and two huge patches of silvering.
I tested these on my calibrated B&K 747B tube... tester, and they tested at 86/84 and 83/82, on a 0-120 scale where 65 is minimum good.  These are incredible tubes, and are guaranteed to work well for you.  Please see my pictures for details.
