This is one half of what was an important Needle Lace Bertha .  A dressmaker decades agoapparently cut this bertha in half and compromised the edges etc. to install on a weddingdress . ( We struggle with forgiving her !! )  However what remains is still an impressiveand very high quality Venetian Needle lace remnant and having sold considerableamount of fine laces over the years can say this is a rare opportunity to have a qualitylace to re-purpose as you wish.   I ...have highlighted a few areas , there are snaps sewn in on the end of thewide edge ( at the widest measures approx. 6" )  . There are two areas if you lookhard where there are joins by thread after the fact and the interior border is compromisedand bound by additional fabric.
