Set of 4 Antique Vintage Wood Folding Oak Slat Chairs Circa 1930These are out of a grange in Connecticut. They are stamped with patent numbers and dates (see photos). The first patent was awarded June 28, 1927 and the second patent was April 30, 1930. Given the Great Depression and WW2 it is a safe bet that these were made in the early 1930’s. Patent was granted to James V. Young on behalf of the Standard Manufacturing Company of Indiana. I included a photo of the patent diagram sign...ed by James Young and all of this is on google if you put in the patent number. Each Chair is 16” W x 33” H when unfolded & 38” H when folded. The seats are 14.25” x 14.25”. At some point in time the grange must have gotten flooded as you can see there is a loss of stain on very bottom of the legs. The chairs are stable and no doubt that area could be re-stained but please be aware and review the photos. If you need more than 4 please inquire as I do have additional matching chairs from the same lot. The chairs in the photos are the EXACT SPECIFIC chairs you are buying. These are for local pickup only. I am about an hour and a half from Boston and about 2 and a half hours from NYC. I am willing to drop these off at a UPS store in Manchester CT and have them work directly with you on professionally packing and shipping them and you would pay them directly but I can’t provide estimates of costs for you. Guessing you would be looking at $100-$150 depending on distance but that is only a guess. The guys at the UPS store are straight shooters and do a nice job. Thanks for looking!
