Have owned a woodworking business since 1981 and it’s timeto have some fun. This is a solid wood case built for aSansui 9090/8080 (990, 890). First off this is not like the bulky cases built witha jig saw; table saw and a couple of bar clamps that you see around. This is aunion of AutoCAD, Vectric, Art soft and an industrial 4x8 CNC. I lay up a panel of 4/4 hardwood, sand it to 470thousands (12 mm) and index the cnc to cut both sides. I am building this as a bonnet, as almost all San...sui pieces were. If you want that little piece at the bottom on these two models I am not your guy. I can build this as a four sided case like the Marantz but it is really difficult to walk you thru how to use the unit bottom screw holes. Prefer not too !!I can build these with Walnut, Mahogany, Cherry, Oak, Maple and Primavera and a few more oddities I have around the shop. (If you want something really unique send me an e-mail, I can get real crazy)All of my cases are colored, two coats of sanding sealer and three coats of nitro cellulose flat lacquer.I have an Oxblood Mahogany case ready to go right now. There is also a picture of a case made from German Beech wood with an Ebony dye. That one is sold but I have one more panel laid up ready to cut. After that no more German Beech. If I have one glued up it takes ten working days to finish and ship the case. If I have to build it the time moves to twenty days to ship. I also have the 7070/790 Case available. I own one of those so I have the cad/tool paths worked out.Any Questions please e-mail me. I have tons of other pictures and you can read my feedback on the workmanship.ThanksDennis ##### I need a g8700/g9700 case to create a pattern. I will build one of my cases free for your old case. If you are interested reach out to me and I can explain the procedure. #####
