Beautiful Technics SL-J3 Turntable, evolution of the famed Technics SL-15. The SL-J3 is a fully automatic, linear tracking, direct drive, quartz lock turntable with track programming functionality. This means you can select the tracks you want to play, in any order! The turntable automatically sense the gaps between the tracks. Of course you can also just press start and it will sense your record size, select the speed and play from the beginning to the end then stop. You can also skip... forward or backwards. It is a fun turntable but don't be fooled. It is not a toy, has great specs and excellent sound. At 9.5lbs it is well built and feels substantial for it's diminutive size. The overall dimensions are the same as a record jacket - quite amazing. While a record jacket is not necessarily small, If you have not seen one of these Technics turntables in real life it will look quite small when you first unpack it.
I fitted this one with a new Audio Technica AT85es P-mount cartridge and stylus for excellent sound and performance. This is an elliptical stylus and one of the better P-mounts made today. The original and correct power cord and ground lead are included.

My restoration included the following:- Disassembly, full cleaning of old lubricants, lubrication and adjustment of the tonearm carriage- Cleaning and lubrication of the drive gear and a new belt- Removal, cleaning and lubrication of the platter spindle- Calibration of the tracking force (set to 1.38 grams)- Polishing of the dust cover (appropriately masked to protect the lettering and painted portions)- Full detail inside and out
This will be packed very well, including removal of the platter and protection of the stylus.
