This is a used: Marantz 2285B Stereophonic Receiver Working Condition and Clean front of unit.--I have checked many of the buttons and knobs on this item see details below and they appear to be working. This unit appears to be in good working condition. ***New clearer pictures added 9-26-2019 9:44AM Eastern TimeNOTE:***These were my observations I do not work on electronic equipment---so if you have any questions please ask and I will do my best to give you answer.The ...following items were checked by me and appear to be working:The buttons on front of receiver that I was able to check appear to be working----On the back of the unit I checked the Aux In-Phono 1 in---Phono 2 in and the Main in for tape and they all played back through the speakers using the selector knob on the front of the unit. Antenna connections work good---I was able to get clear FM stations with an FM antenna.Face plate is clean see picturesAM and FM both work.Speaker system 1 and speaker system 2 on back of unit both work when I hooked up speakers. Appears all lights on the front panel are working---------Stereo lights up when tuning------Gyro tuning wheel moves freely.Signal strength meter and needle work also Tuning meter needle works including the lights. The picture with the lights on in the front panel did not turn out very well this was my camera. There is nothing wrong with the front panel lights. Bass-Mid-Treble and Tone Mode Knobs appear to function correctly.*****This is the only thing I did notice when I was checking everything is that when you turn the volume knob there is some crackling in the speakers but this is only while you are turning the knob once you stop turning the knob the crackling stops and the speakers sound great. This may be due to the fact that I tested it with very cheap low wattage speakers.I have not tested or checked any other items than what is listed above in my observations.
