Vintage Tinplate Battery Operated Nutty Mad Indian Toy, Marx Toys, Japan, VGiBA nice vintage tinplate battery operated Nutty Mad Indianwith Drum toy, with a American Indian figure with warpaint on his face, dressed in a tan outfit with colourful edging, white feather in his hair, spindly arms and legs, standing in front of his drum, made by theLouis Marx Toys Co. Japan, in the 1960's, with original box.When switched on, the toy moves his arms to perform his drumming action, actually p...laying a rhythm on the drum, while also rocking backwards and forwards. He also moves his tongue while makinga realistic war whoop sound. The toy works well and is in verygood condition with the top of the drum being replaced (the original hardened and split – a common fault with this typeof vintage toy). The tinplate and clothes are excellent and the toy is marked on the side of the drum with the Marx Toys Trade Mark, “Copyright Louis Marx & Co. Inc” and with “Made in Japan” on the green base. The battery box is also very clean and free from rust. The toy comes with an excellent original box, also fullymarked and with great images.A great unusual battery toy which would make a great addition to any collection of tinplate, Wild West or Nutty Mad items.Please see the other vintage toys listed on eBay.
