1980s SCHWINN LE TOUR TALL MENS 10-SPEED ROAD BIKE SUPER SPORT VOYAGEUR VINTAGE Click Photos to Enlarge
Description Here... is an original 1980s VINTAGE (head badge number is 0480? Frame serial number is SJ990467) mens SCHWINN Le Tour Model 10-speed road touring bicycle with 27" wheels. (It may be a 12-speed, I forgot to check) It is in the original and very appealing blue colored factory paint. If you like BETTER QUALITY vintage original road bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! *This bike has a cool mens Schwinn "X-Tra lite" butted tubing frame and forks with original paint, (would look nice with fresh decals) Schwinn head badge, Super Moxy aluminum 3-piece cranks, drop style handlebars, upgraded vintage Litefoam road bike seat/saddle, Shimano 400 rear derailleur, rat trap pedals, (each has one reflector) and more! I believe this bike to be mostly all original parts from when it was new! (see pics and be your own judge. I took lots and have nothing to hide!)
*The tires are 27x1 1/4". They are vintage and do hold air. (they look to have VERY minimal miles on them! The bike has chrome rims front and rear.
*The bike is an original 12-SPEED and the gears do operate. The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (May need adjustment or possible cable replacement) NOTE the rear derailleur seem to sit a little high. (see pics) It shifts but may need some tinkering or possible replacement.
*DIMENSIONS A HARD TO FIND tall frame for a taller rider that would enjoy a vintage road bike! The standover height is approx 34 1/2". The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 34 3/4". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 25". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 3/4". The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. *NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but has survived ok for its age! (see pics0 Paint is original and would look nicer with a fresh set of decals. (has some chips scratches etc) Chrome is shiny but not perfect show quality. (neck chrome is not the best) Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) This style road bike almost never comes up for sale! Great to display with your Paramount, Letour, or Super Sport! If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid.
*This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach.
