ARTI HARTHOZ BEIZEN in Pulver für Kirschbaum, Birnbaum, Birken, Buchen, Erlen, Rüster, und Ahornholz, etc. GOOD PLUS Condition: the outerboards are edgeworn, have droplet staining mostly to the edges, but remain solid and legible, internally, the boards have light wear from age and use, the linen joints are foxed but holding well, the tissue guards have been roughly torn out leaving residual tissue at the top edge, and the wood specimens remain shiny and bright.
ARTI was founded in 1904 by German Chemist’s Emil Jansen and Wilhelm Zimmermann who discovered that the dyes used in the textile industry could be used to stain wood, they developed a new form of surface treatment to color wood and this historic business is still extant today producing wood stains for architects, cabinet makers, furniture makers, decorators, painters, piano factories and builders.
