The Sixty-Nine Post-Stations along the Kiso Kiado Highway: Karuizawa
This is a wonderful print of Hiroshige Utagawa's Karuizawa from the Sixty-Nine Stations series of woodblocks. I am not certain of its age. It is a wonderfully printed example of Hiroshige's work.
The print is in very good condition, there is one small pin hole in the fire area, I tried to capture this in photos. There is additional staining and some tape residue i...n the margins and on verso. Again, i've tried to details these in the photographs. The print overall is in great condition. It appears to be a woodblock, printed on traditional rice paper. The paper seems a bit darkened with age, but overall condition seems very good.
