...; font-variant-east-asian: normal; margin: 0px;">
In Fabulous condition with a small flaw where the stem fits the pipe. This could be repaired; its so small its hard to see and does not interfere with the function of the pipe.
Measurements: approx.
Length 5 1/2 inches ( 14cm)
bowl width 3/4 inch (2cm)
bowl depth 1 inch (3cm)
The pipe has been reamed and the char has been removed from the rim. The briar has been waxed and polished and the shank has been cleaned and sanitised. The stem has been de-oxidised and teeth chatter removed. It has then been polished and also sanitised inside and out.
This is still a used and vintage pipe so it isn't "new". There are still a couple of dents from the teeth chatter that haven't been removed from the stem completely as they were deep.
The stand is not included.
Brief History:
The company was founded by Benjamin Wade in 1860 in Leeds, Yorkshire, where it was located for over a century. Ben Wade started off as a pipe trader but by 1860 he established a workshop to produce briar pipes and that's where it all began. The pipes were made in very many standard shapes - always extensively classic and "very British". Many models tended to be of smaller dimensions. Ben Wade offered a very high standard of craftsmanship and quality without any fills. Thus the pipes were considered to be high grade and a major competitor to other famous English brands.
