VINTAGE PEAR SHAPED ROSE QUARTZ PENDANTWITH GOLD PLATED CHAIN
This gorgeous rose quartz pendant is at least 50 years old. The traditional setting is really nice-- very well made. With a chain, this makes for a stunning necklace whose stone literally glows against your skin!
The pendant is quite large and heavy, weighing in at 18.5 grams. The rose quartz stone has been cut and polished in a pear shape, or what some might call teardrop shape. Its setting is more than likely gol...d even though I have not found a mark. I say this because my grandfather was an acclaimed lapidary hobbyist and I believe he mined and polished this stone himself. He was quite well-off and of the many pieces he gifted me over the years, most if not all had 14K or 18K gold settings.
I'm including the gold-plated chain you see because it is a strong chain with a large enough link as to be appropriate for a pendant of this size and weight, plus it has very good gold color.
