A lovely work of a steamer and fishing smack struggling in heavy seas, the work being dated (18)94. Indistinctly signed lower left "Waite"? Offered requiring cleaning and some restoration.
Age- 1894Size- 14.25 by 18 inches approx (360 x 460 mm) including frame, canvas 11 by 15 inches approxMedium- Oils on canvas
Frame- Antique gold coloured frame, some knocks and losses, offered free with the painting.Condition- Generally dark and dirty with a couple of small puncture marks and some patches of paint flake to the right hand margin. In need of a clean and some restoration.
