The figurine is hand made, hand painted and represents exquisite craftsmanship. It depicts a beautiful young girl in amazing lace dress, holding a colorful parrot. The face of the girl is artfully painted and it looks alive. The company was started by a talented young artist Anton Muller in Volkstedt, Thuringia, in 1907 and existed till 1937. The original factory was destroyed during WWII.The figurine has blue “Crown over letters MV (in an oval) DRESDEN” mark of Anton Muller, Germany. This particular mark and the history of the company is represented in “Dresden Porcelain Studios” by Jim & Susan Harran, p.196. The figurine is as seen in the photos. Measurements: The figurine measures approx. 5.75" tall. Condition: The vintage Dresden porcelain lace figurine is in very good condition with a few minor age related imperfections: a few very minor dings to the lace and the tip of the left index finger. This type of imperfections is accepted by the Dresden lace figurine collectors.PLEASE NOTE: Most of our items are in excellent or verygood condition (unless otherwise specified).
