Vintage Tinplate Battery Operated Police Convertible Car, Daiya, Japan, EXiBA vintage tinplate battery operated Police ConvertibleHighway Patrol Car with black & white body, 2 plastic figures, rear lighted Stop Sign and flashing light on the bonnet, with the original box, made in Japan by the Daiya Co. in the 1960's. It is all tinplate except for the plastic Policemen figures, sirenon the bonnet and 4 red tail lights, and it measures 13 inches long by 5 wide and 4.5 inches tall. It ha...s several different actions when switched on including a mystery bump ‘n go action, flashing light on the bonnet, siren sound and flashingred “Stop” sign on the rear boot lid. The toy is in very good to excellent working condition witha clean tinplate body with a few marks and rust-free battery box. All the battery functions work well and the only issues are a missingrear plastic tail light and that the toy starts as soon as batteries are inserted, without the need for the “On-Off switch to be moved. The switch therefore needs some attention to work properly. The toy is marked with “Daiya” and “Made in Japan” on the rear of the front seat, and also with “Police” on the boot lid, and “Highway Patrol” on the sides and bonnet.Comes with a good original picture box with wear to the edges and corners, also fully marked.Please see my other vintage items listed. A vintage tinplate battery operated Police Convertible
Highway Patrol Car with black & white body, 2 plastic figures,
rear lighted Stop Sign and flashing light on the bonnet, with
the original box, made in Japan by the Daiya
Co. in the 1960's.
It is all tinplate except for the plastic Policemen figures, siren
on the bonnet and 4 red tail lights, and it measures 13 inches
long by 5 wide and 4.5 inches tall. It has several different
actions when switched on including a mystery bump ‘n go
action, flashing light on the bonnet, siren sound and flashing
red “Stop” sign on the rear boot lid.
The toy is in very good to excellent working condition with
a clean tinplate body with a few marks and rust-free battery box. All
