Accordingly, the whole work of creation and grace inChristianity is seen as a single operation common to all three divine persons, in which each shows forth what is proper to him in the Trinity, so that allthings are " from the Father", "through the Son" and "inthe Holy Spirit".Seven Archangels:The earliest reference to a system of seven archangels asa group appears to be in Enoch I (the Book of Enoch) which is not part of theJewish Canon but is prevalent in the Judaic tradition, where they are named asMichael (Sunday), Gabriel (Monday), Raphael (Tuesday), Uriel (Wednesday), Raguel (Thursday), Remiel (Friday; he is described in the Book of Enoch ashaving fallen from grace, possibly replaced by Phanuel (angel), who is thefourth archangel) and Sariel (Saturday). While this book today is non-canonicalin most Christian churches, it was explicitly quoted in the New Testament(Letter of Jude 1:14-15) and by many of the early Church Fathers. The EthiopianOrthodox Church to this day regards it to be canonical. The medals in our auctions have been inspected byreputable numismatic dealers, and their dating can be confirmed on pages 2& 3 of the book AN INTRODUCTION TO RELIGIOUS MEDALS, by Bob Forrest, andpublished by NUMISMATICA INTERNATIONAL in 2004.In addition, this book has chapters (outlined in thetable of contents), describing each of the categories of medals, their possibleplace of pilgrimage (acquisition), and origin of the mint where they were made.We recommend that anyone serious about collecting medals from this period, acquirea copy of this book. Thanks for your kind support of our work!
