ANTIQUE PEWTER ROWING TROPHY Lady Margaret Boat Club/St Johns CAMBRIDGE 1877. This glass bottomed quart pewter tankard is in great condition with the engraving beautifully crisp, considering the fact it is 142 years old.The tankard was awarded in December 1877 and was awarded on behalf of The Lady Margaret Boat Club, which is affiliated to St Johns College Cambridge, to the Senior Trials Eight.The participants who took part have their names and weight clearly marked.The tankard is also... engraved with the coat of arms of L.M.B.C alongside the Latin motto "Si Je Puis", ( If I Can).It stands 17.5 cm high with a base diameter of 120cm and weighs 932 grams.Please check out my other rowing related items.
