This listing is for a set of 9 right handed antique vintage wood shaft irons. All were made by Spalding. Included with their play specs are are a 1 Iron 39 1/4" length 22* Loft and C 7 swingweight, a 3 Iron 37 3/4" 27* C 1, a 4 Iron 37 1/2" 33* C 9, a 5 Iron 36 1/2" 37* C 5, a 16 Iron (mashie niblick) 44* loft it has been cut down, a 7/17 Pitcher 36 3/4" 49* C 8, a Niblick 36 1/4" 52* C 9, a 10 Putter 34 1/2" and an 11 Chipper 35 1/2" 25*. All of th...e heads are clean and not all rusted. They do have the expected play nicks and dings. Please look at the multiple zoom pictures for a better idea of condition. The shafts are all old hickories. You might find a couple with very minor bends (actually a pretty straight group) but I see no cracks. There will also be some with play at the hosels. All wooden shafted clubs should be reset prior to play. Grips are all long leather wraps that range in vintage condition from fair to good with one grip missing. Great display set that you might be able to turn into players. If you are considering playing with these clubs, while I see no real issues with the wooden shafts (other than noted above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosels to help prevent breakage. These old wooden shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee hickory shafts against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old hickory shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old hickory shafted wood with a hard range ball. Shipping in the US is calculated for this item and based on a 13 pound box. The closer you are to me in NC (27712 zip) the less shipping will be. This is the way the carriers work and unfortunately shipping has become more expensive recently. On top of that, most buyers don't realize that eBay and Paypal take almost 15% of what I receive as stated shipping (out of $10 I only receive $8.50). Shipping to foreign countries will be much higher and will be via Priority Mail. In accordance with the current Ebay policy I am only allowed to state that I accept payment via Paypal. NC residents must add 7.5% sales tax.
