A FINE 19th CENTURY EARLY VICTORIAN MAHOGANY TEA CADDY
Offered for sale is this large very fine quality 19th century early Victorian three compartment solid mahogany tea caddy, for green&...nbsp;and black tea. Externally the the wood grain has an attractive flame mahogany grain and bun feet, and a lozenger escutcheon; the wood finish has a super original patina.
Internally there are two lidded compartments for green and black tea and a centre compartment for blending the tea; there original spun made glass bowl is present, having no cracks or chips.
The box has the original large brass stop hinges and lock which is in working order with a key.
Condition very good considering it's age having no major damage, cracks, chips or previous restoration work; there are a few insignificant surface marks due to age/use. Please see photographs for overall condition.
