Original Description:
This Georgian garden sundial is dated 1731 , i have every reason to believe that this date is original as there is lots of wear and tear and patina with age as seen in the photos , there is a hand hammered joint of the gnomon , on the dial there are engraved numbers and the words " I Stand Amonge The Sun And Summere Flowres Anno Dom 1731" , there are also engraved flowers around the screw holes , the sundial measures 8 x 8 inches , the gnomon wobbles a bit from side to side due to the ...loose joint and general wear and tarnish with age
