This auction is for a beautiful piece of Meissen / Dresden. This is a Watteau quatrefoil urn. This is done in yellow with fine gold detailing and expert hand painting of a courting couple. The piece has two handles and measures about 7 1/2" tall. It is marked with the blue underglaze crossed swords mark with one slash. Meaning it was sold undscorated to one of the Dresden artists of that era.. It is in beautiful undamaged condition with almost no gold wear. I can only see a tiny ...touch on the tip of the finial.
