This is an extra nice, Vintage Mercury Kiekaefer 6 Gallon all Steel Gas Tank, for Mercury Outboards. It's in original condition, even the paint. The original decal on the side is extra well preserved. This has a very nice heavy duty Cap, with working vent. The bottom of the tank is as clean as your dinner plate! No Kidding. It almost looks like there's hardly ever had fuel in it. There are some paint missing here and there as seen in pictures, but no rust in the tank.very minor rust on... bottom outside edges as seen in pictures .I have not put gas in this, so I can't guarantee it doesn't leak, but I very seriously doubt it, considering the overall condition.
