Of course, most cast iron lovers like us have heard about the Wapak Brand and the quality of the cast iron cookware that they produced. Plus of course the working relationship that Wapak had with the Griswold Co. even using some of the early Griswold "ERIE" pieces and marking them as their own. If you look close, it is not uncommon to find a Wapak pan with and "ERIE" Ghost Mark, just a little collector tip for you. Anyway, during the time between 1912 to 1926, Wapak had another cookwar...e line they produced and it was named for a local Native Tribe called the Oneta. This was a popular line for Wapak and was considered to be an economy line of their cookware and thus a bit less expensive for customers. Yet, here is a Number 8 Oneta skillet, that has the same style design and the thin walls and the outside fire or heat ring and 93 years later to 107 years old and it still sits Perfectly Flat with No Wobble to report. Truly and amazing testament for the Wapak Company. The skillet is a comfortable in the hand weight and Measures: 14&3/8" Long (with Handle) by 10" Wide (Spout to Spout) by 1&1/4" Tall or Thick. These Oneta pieces of cast iron are not the most common to find nowadays, but they do make a nice addition to any cast iron collection or any kitchen also and they are noted and shown in the 5th Edition of The Blue Book also.
