This listing is for a vintage petrol pocket lighter and ashtray set. This set is in very good condition, but with noticeable wear. The lighter is a Brother-Lite, and it was made in Japan. The ashtray has no brand name, but it is clearly marked on the bottom as made in the United States. The lighter fits perfectly in the ashtray's center holder, and if I were still a smoker it would surely be sitting on my coffee table! The ashtray has a lot of tiny little bubbles underneath the chrome ...plating, and a couple of fleabite size chips. There isn't much surface wear, and the polished chrome buffs to a mirror like shine. The bottom is in excellent condition, and has the original cork base. The lighter is in very good condition, and only has light surface wear. The lighter's fitment operates smoothly, and the flint tube is clear. With a flint inserted a nice spark is produced. There is a good wick, and although there is evidence of use, it is fairly clean underneath the snuffer. This is a petrol lighter, and it has NOT been filled and tested, but it should operate as designed with fuel and a flint. Thank you for looking.
