CONDITION:
No Hairlines, No Cracks, the only damage is to a section of the top rim which has been poorly repaired quite a while ago. This fine vase is an ideal candidate for a trip to a professional ceramic restorer who would be able to invisibly reset the rim without any over-painting. Please note there is a drill hole in the base, at some point in the past this vase was turned into a lamp... and what a lamp it must have been.
Rest assured this large, heavy, very rare white porcelain vase is a genuine antique and NOT a modern copy. Delivery outside of Europe is high due to the size and weight of this stunning Longquan glazed vessel. I do not charge anything for packing items and only pass on the actually cost of delivery. - The winner of this auction will be absolutely delighted with this stunning antique. - Good Luck!
PLEASE NOTE:
The dark pattern that can be seen in the base interior (see photo below) is organic material, built up over the past few hundred years. It could easily be removed with a steam clean. The body material of this Gu vase is very fine, dense pure white porcelain.
