A vintage Arts & Crafts style leaf and spiral design silver brooch by Gladys and Charles Mumford, probably dating from the 1950s.Around 3.7cm by 2.0cm at widest points. Weighs 46.8g.Fitted with hook & pin clasp in good secure working order.Marked 'Silver', although mark is rather worn.Condition. The jewellery I sell is antique, vintage and / or pre-owned, and most items will have the minor surface wear which would be expected on previously worn or older pieces. Any specific dam...age or condition issues are noted below. The join where the outer oval is fastened together seems to have a little more visible solder than would be expected on a Mumford piece (see photographs), and it is possible that the joint split and was repaired. However, as these were handcrafted brooches, it is also possible that this is just a slightly messier join than is usual.
