1935 Vintage Photo by ACME. The railroads take another step in the direction of streamlining: the "beaver tail" coach. A Car from which all projections have been eliminated and the rear portion of the roof sloped down to lessen air resistance. It is one of several built for the Milwaukee Road for high speed service. The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad; often referred to as the Milwaukee Road; was a Class I railroad that operated in the Midwest... and Northwest of the United States from 1847 until 1980.
