I met Pamela at the Schaumburg, IL Teddy Bear Show in 1992. I was so taken with her artistry. The bears seemed to have their own unique personality. They were well fed (he weighs 5 + pounds !) and fully but softly stuffed to encourage hugs. Their curly mohair was lovely and so soft. She was fastidious with their grooming, especially their muzzle and ears. A devoted mom !
I purchased two bears on the spot. So when she was designin...g her new group of bears and her catalog, I purchased two of her prototypes who posed for the pictures shown. I have downsized a lot before I came to listing them. But I still have 3 very large and my original bears so Pamela will have a spot in my collection for many years to come.
I think the catalog page says it all. He has sat on a high shelf in my bear room away from sunlight in a non smoking home. His mohair on his behind and legs just needs a little fluffing. Excellent condition and ready to delight a new family.
