Antique German Putz Stick Leg Woolly Sheep Pulling Loofah Cart With Santa & Toys
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:18362857 |
This is just one lot of hundreds of estate Christmas Holiday ornaments etc that I shall be listing in the coming weeks. Some came from Germany, including East Berlin, some are Pennsylvania Dutch from Lancaster PA, and others are from VA, IN etc etc.
ALL are genuine antique or vintage, I do NOT sell reproductions! Given that they are all old, most will bear the expected marks of age and use - if they have visible flaws, I will detail those in the "Condition" section of the listing. ...
This is a wonderful antique German putz stick-leg woolly sheep pulling a loofah cart, laden with Christmas goodies!
The cart holds a tiny bottle-brush tree dusted with snow, a stumpy little Erzgebirge terrier dog, and an old porcelain Santa figure.
The cart has wooden wheels, is stamped "GERMANY" underneath and is tied around the sheep's middle with a faded red ribbon.
This darling ensemble would make a lovely addition to your Putz or feather tree decor.
The sheep's legs are firmly attached to its body, and he stands squarely.
The ensemble is 5 1/2" long and 2 3/4" to top of sheep's head.
It dates to c.1900, was made in Germany and came to me from a Pennsylvania estate.
Shipping is FREE within the 48 states!
