Antique 14 1/2" Socket Head Doll Nicely Dressed Marked 192 German?. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.This antique doll has a socket head which swivels on the shoulder plate. The only marking is 192 on the back of the head. Her eyes are stationary. Her mouth is open and shows 4 porcelain teeth. She wears a blond wig (glued on) which may be human hair. She wears a little straw hat on her head. A dab of glue still holds it to her hair. Her body is a combination of cloth... and kid. Her shoulder plate is connected to a cloth body. The arms are kid with bisque hands attached. The fingers are all intact. From the waist down it is kid with legs that bend at the hips and knees. Her lower legs are fabric again and she wears little black shoes with a ribbon on each. She is dressed in red cover over by delicate netting. Red ribbons add detail. Lace is around the neck and the hem of the skirt is embroidered to add the bottom lace. As for her provenance - I cannot say for certain. 192 is found in German Identification books but I will not say that for certain. You can check for yourself.
