Antique 1939 Japanese WW2 Silver War Medal Order Of The Sacred Treasure. Sterling silver - tested. Center is a raised silver mirror against a pebbled background. These are the “sacred treasures“ from which the award takes its name. Research suggests the four characters on the back translate to “order of merit decoration“. The ribbon is folded in a triangular fashion and it has an elongated vertical hook to latch onto an eye sewn near the base on the reverse. Comes complete with... its original presentation case which is missing 1/2 of the latch (shown in photos).Please view all photos carefully as they are the largest part of the description.
