This is a handmade lap sized rug hooking frame. My mother was a rug hooking teacher who had this made for small projects.
The frame is 12 inches by 10 inches (opening 8-1/2 x 6-1/2) and is 8 sloping to 6 inches high.
The frame is supported by three large dowels securely screwed to a strong woodboard bottom. The frame itself is thickly wrapped with felted material such that the work project can be securely stretched and held with T-pins.
