Antique Vintage Chinese Embroidered Wall Hanging depicting the eight immortals. Beautiful quality embroidery with fine details to the characters faces, bodies and clothing. The clothing details are just amazing with lots of depth and texture. Embroidered with silk thread, details and highlighting with gold metallic couching embroidery. there is also metallic couching embroidered designs on the background of salmon colored silk floss threads. It is difficult to show the background salmo...n color as the light shimmers on the silk threading. There is a light blue and black silk boarder, the back fabric is cotton.There is a round stamping one corner the says “Made in China” in black ink and the remnant of a white paper label with red writing.Condition: Good to fair antique condition, please note the following, the last figure on the left bottom side shows some damage to the figure and surrounding silk area, possibly has had something spill on it, some of the threads mostly the couching have come loose and lost the gold coloring, the figure to the right of that has area of loose thread on his pant leg, there are areas throughout where the gold couching stitching is coming loose.
