This is for a fabulous and pristine top quality antique writing set in its original display box dating from 1919. The box is advertising the prestigious retailers Asprey at 166 Bond Street, London and the base is moulded inside to hold the matching dip pen, pencil, seal, letter opener and quill trimmer. All the pieces have matching handles with sterling silver mounts and the letter opener has a full set of hallmarks dating it to London 1919. The dip pen has a simple grip to... hold the period nib fitted and the pencil extends the lead when the nozzle is turned. The set is in absolutely fabulous condition, it has hardly been out of the box I would say and it has retained its high polish lustre to all the pieces. The dip pen is 178mm (7") long, the pencil is 200mm (8") long, the opener is 135mm (5.3") long and the seal is blank and stands 50mm (2") tall. The box is also in excellent clean condition.
