J. Loyd Davis was an avid fan collector until his passing in 2011. For the FIRST TIME since Loyd's passing, a large portion of his 30 year fan collection will be auctioned off by me, his son, Randy Davis. I have been a longtime buyer/seller on eBay, and have a 100% feedback rating. I recently changed my eBay ID specifically for this occasion. My Mom, Patty Davis, is now 82 years old and suffers from Dementia / Alzheimers. She is receiving excellent care at a new facility that is specifically designed for memory care. You are bidding on an Antique 12" Robbins & Myers #1404 yoke mounted tank motor electric fan. It features 4 Brass Blades, a Brass Cage with the Free Flag Badge, and the original gold pin striping and numbers!!! I plugged it in, and it runs on all 3 speeds. See Photos.
I describe each fan to the best of my ability. However, I'm NOT a fan expert, NOR am I an electrician. The fans that I'm listing are ANTIQUES that range in age from 70-130 years old. It's reasonable to assume that cords, plugs, etc. might not be perfect on every fan that I list, and that some might even need to be replaced. Examine my detailed photos and make your own determination regarding condition. When I identify a fan size (8", 9", 10", 12", etc.) in my listings, this is based on the measurement across the blades, from tip of the blade to tip of the blade. I test the blades & cage of each fan that I list with a magnet. If the magnet DOESN'T STICK to the blades or cage, then they are determined to be brass. If the magnet DOES STICK to the blades or cage, then they are determined to be steel.
