This is the model with the aluminum back plate, not the later one that had a plastic backplate. 1934-41. Ivory. 7.5" diameter x 3" thick. This is a mixed bag clock. The case is in excellent shape. The movement is in excellent shape. The backplate has some solder splashed onto it and cannot be seen when hung. The crystal has several scratches on it.... I purchase a new replacement crystal for the clock however the new crystal is not as deep as the original and the hands make contact with the crystal. So back on goes the original crystal. The hand setting knob was missing when i got the clock and unfortunately a previous owner screwed up the reverse threads. The knob i installed is the right shape but it had to be drilled out and epoxied on. A new power cord was installed.
The bottom line. A lot of positives. The ivory colored case is in excellent shape. The crystal is showing its age. The rotor was oiled and it runs quietly. The movement was modified so that it can be dismantled and cleaned properly. The hand setting knob is epoxied on which makes cleaning the movement 15 years from now doable but a little challenging. The metal back plate looks very good from the front and sides. The metal back plate was cleaned and lacquered but has some solder splashes on it.The face and hands look good.
I try to be as up front with my discriptions of each clock I rehab. I do not describe the clock as "running" which is seen all too often with Ebay ads. Lower 48 states, Paypal.
