LARGE ANTIQUE CHINESE BLUE WHITE PORCELAIN PLANTER POT JARDINIERE DRAGON VASE

Up for auction at NO RESERVE is this fine Chinese blue and white porcelain planter / flower pot / jardiniere vase. Fresh from an estate collection, this piece has gorgeous cobalt blue painted roundels with beautiful four-clawed dragons and phoenix art within. Upper rim has ruyi and layered lappet leaf detail and base is also decorated in lappets. Vine scrolls and leafy tendrils fill in the ground / sides all the way around. Base is unglazed and my guess is that the piece dates to the l...ate 19th or early 20th C. though I am not an expert.

Measures 12.25” inches in diameter at the top, 11.2” inches tall, and base measuring about 7.2” inches in diameter (31.1 cm, 28.4 cm, 18.288 cm). Top opening measures 9.8” inches in diameter (24.9 cm).
Piece looks to be in excellent condition with no cracks or restoration, just some minor surface scratches and normal wear to the base rim.
Would make a fantastic display piece, fine addition to a collection, or a unique gift.
