The Second Temple tax coin that the Jewish people of Jerusalem paid in, known as the "Shekel of Tyre".A coin like this is known to the Christian Gospels as the coin found in "St. Peter's Fish". These are the coins that other coins were being exchanged for when Jesus Christ "attacked" the money changers, flipping over their tables and whipping them. This narrative is known as the "cleansing of the Temple".
